Avalon
Systems invests heavily in research and development. With support
from the Commonwealth of Australia through AusIndustry, and in close
collaboration with DSTO and the ADF, the company is developing a
range of EW signal processing sub-systems. These sub-systems utilise
technologies such as gallium arsenide digital logic, custom CMOS
and DSP to provide creative solutions to EW requirements including:

- Scan analysis
- Passive geo-location

In pursuing its R&D
program, Avalon Systems works closely with research institutions such
as the University of Adelaide, DSTO, CSSIP and the major Australian EW
houses.
